       Surat An-Naba' (The Tidings)
سورة النبإ
78:21
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا
Inna jahannama kanat mirsada

-inna-Indeedإِنَّ
-jahannama-Hell;-kanat-isكَانَتْ جَهَنَّمَ 
-mirsada-lying in waitمِرْصَادًا
Truly, Hell is a place of ambush,
(Tafsir)Lo! Hell lurketh in ambush) the Fire is a detention and prison,
**Be-shak dozakh ghaat mein hai.**
78:22 
لِّلطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا
Littagheena maaba

-Littagheena-For the transgressorsلِّلطَّـٰغِينَ
-maaba-a place of returnمَـَٔـابًا
A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.),
(Tafsir)(A home for the rebellious) a point of return for the disbelievers.
**Sarkashon ka thikana wohi hai**
 
78:23
لَّابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا
Labitheena feeha ahqaba 

-labitheena-They will) be remainingلَّـٰبِثِينَ
-feeha-thereinفِيهَآ 
(ahqaba-for) ages-أَحْقَابًا
They will abide therein for ages,
(Tafsir)(They will abide therein for ages) they will abide in the 
Fire for ages and ages, each age consisting of 80 years, each year 
being 360 days and each day is the equivalent of 1,000 years 
of the years of the life of the world; it is also said that none knows
 the exact duration of these ages save Allah, and therefore these 
ages are never interrupted.
**Is mein wo mudaton tak pary rahein ge**


78:24

لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا
La yathooqoona feehabardan wala sharaba 
-la-Not;-yathooqoona-they will tasteيَذُوقُونَلَّا 
-feeha-therein; -bardan-coolness بَرْدًا فِيهَا 
-wala-and notوَلَا
-sharaba-any drinkشَرَابًا
Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink.
(Tafsir)(Therein) in the Fire (taste they neither coolness) cool water; 
and it is also said this means: sleep (nor (any) drink) cold drink
**Na kabhi is mein khunki ka maza chakein gay na pani ka**

78:25
إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا
Illa hameeman waghassaqa 

-illa-Exceptإِلَّا 
-hameeman-scalding waterحَمِيمًا
-waghassaqa-and purulence وَغَسَّاقًا
Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges.
(Tafsir)(Save boiling water and a paralysing cold) and it is also said 
this means: filthy water:
** Siwaey garm pani aur (behti) peep ke.**
78:26
جَزَاءً وِفَاقًا
Jazaan wifaqa 
-Jazaan-A recompenseجَزَآءً
-wifaqan-appropriateوِفَاقًا
An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes).
(Tafsir)(Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds)) a reward which is commensurate with their works.
**(Unko) Pora pora badla mile ga**

78:27
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا
Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaba 

-Innahum-Indeed, theyإِنَّهُمْ
-kanoo-wereكَانُواْ
-la-Notلَا
-yarjoona-expectingيَرْجُونَ
-hisaban-an accountحِسَابًا
For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning.
(Tafsir)(For lo! they looked not) while in the life of the world (for a reckoning) they did not fear the chastisement of the Hereafter nor did they believe in it;
**Unhein to hisab ki tawaqa hi na thi**

78:28
وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابً
Wakaththaboo bi-ayatinakiththaba 
-wakaththaboo-And deniedوَكَذَّبُواْ
-biayatina-Our Signsبِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا
(-kiyhthaban-with) denialكِذَّابًا
But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely.
(Tafsir)(They called Our revelations) Our Scripture and Messenger (false with strong denial.
**Aur bebaki say hamari aayaton ki takzeb kerte thay**

78:29
وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابً
Wakulla shay-in ahsaynahu kitaba  
-wakulla-And everyوَكُلَّ
-shayin-Thingشَىْءٍ
-ahsaynahu-We have enumerated itأَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ
(-kitaban-in) a Bookكِتَـٰبًا
And all things We have recorded in a Book.
(Tafsir)(They called Our revelations) Our Scripture and Messenger (false with strong denial.
**Hum nay her ik cheez ko likh ker shumar ker rakah hai.**

78:30
فَذُوقُوا فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا
Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illaAAathaba

-Fathooqoo-So tasteفَذُوقُواْ
-falan-and neverفَلَن
-Nazeedakum-We will increase youنَّزِيدَكُمْ
-illa-Exceptإِلَّا
(-Aaathaban-in) punishmentعَذَابًا
So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We 
give you, except in torment.
(Tafsir)Everything) regarding the works of the children of Adam (have We recorded in a Book) We wrote it down in the Guarded or Preserved Tablet.
**Ab tum (apnay kiey ka) maza chakho hum tumhara azaab 
bhi  barhate rahein ge.**
   
78:31
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا 
Inna lilmuttaqeena mafaza

-inna-Indeedإِنَّ
-lilmuttaqeena-for the righteousلِلْمُتَّقِينَ
-mafazan-is) successمَفَازًا
Verily, for the Muttaqun, there will be a success (Paradise);
(Tafsir)(Lo! for the duteous) for those who ward off disbelief, idolatry and indecencies (is achievement) safety from the Fire and nearness of Allah

** Yaqeenan perhezgar logon kay liey kamyabi hai.**

78:32

حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا

Hada-iqa waaAAnaba
-hadaiqa-Gardensحَدَآئِقَ
-waaAAnaban-and grapevinesوَأَعْنَـٰبًا

Gardens and grapeyards;

(Tafsir)(Gardens) of trees and palm-trees (enclosed and vineyards,

** Baghat hein or angoor hai.**
78:33

وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا

WakawaAAiba atraba
-wakawaAAiba-And splendid companionsوَكَوَاعِبَ
-atraban-well-matchedأَتْرَابًا

And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age;

(Tafsir)And maidens for companions) who are all of the
 same age: 33 years of age,

**Aur nojawan kunwari hum omer auratein hein.**



78:34

وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا

Waka/san dihaqa
-wakasan-And a cupوَكَأْسًا
-dihaqan-fullدِهَاقًا

And a full cup (of wine).

(Tafsir)(And a full cup) one cup after another.

**Aur chhalakte huy jam-e-sharab hein.**


78:35

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا

La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwanwala kiththaba

-la-Notلَّا
-yasmaAAoona-they will hearيَسْمَعُونَ
-feeha-thereinفِيهَا
-laghwan-any vain talkلَغْوًا
-wala-and notوَلَا
-kiththaban-any falsehoodكِذَّٲبًا

No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying;

(Tafsir)(There) in Paradise (hear they) the inhabitants of the Garden 
(never vain discourse) oaths or falsehood, (nor lying) they 
do not lie to each other.

**Wahan na to who behuda batein sunein ge aur na
 jhoti batein sunein ge.**


78:36

جَزَاءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاءً حِسَابًا

Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaba
-jazaan-As) a rewardجَزَآءً
-min-fromمِّن
-rabbika-your Lordرَّبِّكَ
-Aaataan-a giftعَطَآءً
(-hisaban-according to) accountحِسَابًا

A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift
 (according to the best of their good deeds).

(Tafsir)(Requital) a reward (from thy Lord a gift) that He bestows upon them in the Garden (in payment) ten rewards for each good deed; and it is also said this means: reward in proportion to their good deeds

**(Unko) Tery Rab ki taraf say (unkay nek amal ka) yeh badla milay ga jo kafi inaam hoga.**
 
78:37

رَّبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا 
الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا

Rabbi assamawati wal-ardiwama baynahuma arrahmani 
layamlikoona minhu khitaba
-Rabbi-Lordرَّبِّ
(alssamwati-of) the heavensٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ
-waalardi-and the earthوَٱلْأَرْضِ
-wama-and whateverوَمَا
(-baynahuma-is) between both of themبَيْنَهُمَا
-alrrahmani-the Most Graciousٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ‌ۖ
-la-notلَا
-yamlikoona-they have powerيَمْلِكُونَ
-minhu-from Himمِنْهُ
-khitaban-to) addressخِطَابًا

(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in
 between them, the Most Beneficent, none can dare to speak with Him
 (on the Day of Resurrection except after His Leave).

(Tafsir)(Lord of the heavens and the earth, and (all) that is between them) of creation and marvels, (the Beneficent) He is the Beneficent; (with Whom none) none of His slaves, i.e. the angels as well as others (can converse) with regard to intercession until Allah gives them permission to do so.

**(Is Rab ki taraf say milay ga jo kay) Asmano ka aur zameen ka aur jo kuch in kay dermiyan hai inka perwardigar hai aur bari bakhsish kerne wala hai kisi ko is say baat cheet kerne ka ikhtyar nahi hoga.**



78:38

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الرُّوحُ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ
 إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا

Yawma yaqoomu arroohu walmala-ikatusaffan la yatakallamoona
 illa man athinalahu arrahmanu waqala sawaba
-yawma-The) Dayيَوْمَ
-yaqoomu-will standيَقُومُ
-alrroohu-the Spiritٱلرُّوحُ
-wa almalaikatu-and the Angelsوَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
(saffan-in) rowsصَفًّا‌ۖ
-la-notلَّا
Yatakallamoona-they will speakيَتَكَلَّمُونَ
-Illa-exceptإِلَّا
(-man-one) whoمَنْ
Athina-permits-أَذِنَ
-lahu-for] himلَهُ
-alrrahmanu-the Most Graciousٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
-waqala-and he (will) sayوَقَالَ
(-sawaban-what is) correctصَوَابًا

The Day that Ar-Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel) or another angel] and the angels
 will stand forth in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent (Allah) allows, and he will speak what is right.

(Tafsir)(On the day when the angels and the Spirit) Gabriel; and
 it is also said: this is a created being whose tremendousness only Allah knows; Ibn Mas'ud also said: the Spirit is an angel greater thanevery thing save the Throne, and this angel glorifies Allah each day 12,000  formulas of glorification, and which each glorification he utters Allah creates an angel who seeks forgiveness for the believers until the Day of Judgement; it is also said this refers to a group of angels who have feet and hands like those of humans (stand arrayed,they speak not) to intercede, (saving him whom the Beneficent alloweth) to intercede (and who speaketh right) truly 
“there is  no deity save Allah”.

 **Jis din rooh or faristy safein bandh ker khare hongay to
 koi kalam na kersake ga magar jis say Rehman ijazat 
dayde aur wo theek baat  zaban  se nikalay.**

78:39

ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ مَآبًا

Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu famanshaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaba


Thalika-Thatذَٲلِكَ
-alyawmu-is) the Dayٱلْيَوْمُ
-alhaqqu-the Trueٱلْحَقُّ‌ۖ
-faman-So whoeverفَمَن
Shaa-willsشَآءَ
-ittakhatha-let him takeٱتَّخَذَ
-ila-Towardsإِلَىٰ
-rabbihi-his Lord رَبِّهِۦ
-maaban-a returnمَـَٔـابًا

That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)!

(Tafsir)(That is the True Day) in which will happen what I have mentioned. (So whoso will should seek recourse) whoever will believe in Allah's
 divine Oneness and seek through his belief in Allah's divine Oneness
 a way of return (unto his Lord.

**Yeh din haq hai ab jo chaeiy apnay Rab ke pas (nek amal kerkay)
 thikana banalein.

78:40

إِنَّا أَنذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَومَ يَنظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ
 يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ الْكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَابًا



Inna antharnakum AAathabanqareeban yawma yanthuru 
almaro ma qaddamatyadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru 
ya laytanee kuntuturaba
-inna-Indeed Weإِنَّآ
[-antharnakum-We] have warned youأَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْ
-Aaathaban-of) a punishmentعَذَابًا
-qareeban-nearقَرِيبًا
-yawma-the) Dayيَوْمَ
-yanthuru-will seeيَنظُرُ
-almarothe manٱلْمَرْءُ
-ma-whatمَا
Qaddamat-have sent forthقَدَّمَتْ
-yadahu-his handsيَدَاهُ
-wayaqoolu-and will sayوَيَقُولُ
-alkafiru-the disbelieverٱلْكَافِرُ
-ya laytanee-O I wishيَـٰلَيْتَنِى
-kuntu-I were كُنتُ
-turaban-dustتُرَٲبَۢا

Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man 
will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the
 disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!"

(Tafsir)Lo! We warn you) O people of Mecca (of a doom at hand) which will surely happen, (a day whereon a man will look) when the believer will look; and it is also said: when the disbeliever will look (on that which his own hands have sent before) have earned of good or evil, (and the disbeliever will cry: “Would that I were dust!”) with the beasts. Because of the horrors,
 severity and torment of that day, the disbeliever will wish to be turned into dust along with beasts. This will occur on the day when the first trumpet resounds'.

** Hum ne tumhein unqareeb anay walay azab se dara diya
 (aur chokanna ker diya) hai. jis din insan apnay haton ki kamai 
ko dekh lega aur kafir kahy ga ke kash! mein mitti hojata.**
